Hanwell Carnival is a 100% volunteer-led event, run by the community for the community, and there are many ways to be part of it beyond simply coming along on the day.
Whether you are a local business looking to sponsor the Carnival and gain great exposure while helping secure its future, a charity, trader or community group wanting to book a stall, a maker interested in joining the Craft Tent, a volunteer ready to join the team, or a child hoping to enter our Carnival Champions contest, every kind of involvement helps keep this much-loved tradition thriving.

Craft Tent
The Craft Tent is a very popular feature of the Carnival, filled with jewellery and arts and crafts. The majority of our crafters are local to Hanwell and Ealing, and we aim to ensure that we have a good mixture of products on the day.

The Parade
The organising team have regretfully decided that there will be no parade this year. We understand that this is a great tradition of Hanwell Carnival, but the reality is that in recent years we have found it increasingly hard to attract participants to the parade. In addition the cost of staging the parade has risen significantly due to more stringent security and road traffic management requirements.

We are working hard to adapt to the new circumstances and will let you know as soon as The Parade can return. In the meantime, if you want to volunteer specifically for the Parade, please fill in the form in the section above.

Volunteer with us
Hanwell Carnival is not only London's oldest carnival, but it is also the largest single day carnival. It's run entirely by volunteers, and we are always on the hunt for more people to help. Many people wonder how they can contribute and can be very surprised by how much there is to do!

There are many ways to get involved and all skills are welcome. We need business minds, artistic types, social media experts etc - anything you can think of, both ahead of the Carnival and on the big day itself. You could join the team to help organise the event, distribute posters and leaflets, help create artwork, manage our social media platforms, lend some muscle to help set up the park on the day before, or help with stewarding. The list is endless.
